The protocol
- 01Client stands with feet together, knees straight.
- 02Slowly bend forward at the hips, reaching toward the floor with both hands.
- 03Do not bounce or force the stretch.
- 04Note the furthest point reached: palms to floor, fingers to floor, fingers to toes, fingers to ankles, fingers to shins, or cannot reach.
What to watch for
- Bending the knees to reach further.
- Bouncing or jerking movements.
- Rounding through the upper back only rather than hinging at the hips.
How to read the result
